The Corbett Foundation — Deadline: 30 April 2026
Two roles, two landscapes. The Corbett Foundation is hiring a Project Assistant and a Junior Research Fellow for field programmes at Kutch in Gujarat and Kaziranga in Assam. The Project Assistant position is open to fresh graduates in Wildlife Science, Zoology, Botany, Environmental Science, or Forestry. The Junior Research Fellow role requires a Master’s degree and prior field or conservation experience; the contract runs 11 months with scope for extension.

Wildlife Institute of India — Deadline: 2 May 2026
India’s apex wildlife research institution has opened its April 2026 recruitment cycle with 45 project positions across a range of seniority levels: Principal Project Associate, Project Scientist I, Senior Project Associate, Project Associate I and II, Project Assistant, and Administrative Assistant / Field Worker. Qualifications range from a Bachelor’s degree for the most junior roles to a Master’s with eight years of research experience for the senior positions. Salaries run from ₹22,000 to ₹77,000 plus HRA per month. Applications are online only.

Wildlife Trust of India
India’s largest conservation action organisation has the widest range of active openings, spanning anti-poaching field officers in Manipur, a Project Head at the Centre for Bear Rehabilitation in Pakke (Assam), an elephant corridor consultant in Kerala, an Assistant Manager at Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, a Restoration Ecologist in Gujarat, a field biologist in Bihar’s Valmiki Tiger Reserve landscape, and a veterinary surgeon. Most roles are field or programme-based across tiger and elephant landscapes.
Centre for Wildlife Studies
Five roles are currently open at CWS in Bengaluru: Chief of Staff, Media Fellow, GIS / RS Fellow, Field Programme Coordinator (Karnataka), and Finance and Accounts Manager. The Media Fellow and GIS / RS Fellow positions are particularly strong fits for science communicators and spatial analysts looking to work at the intersection of conservation and technology.
WWF India
Eight positions across the country, covering raptor conservation in Tezpur, Sundarbans biodiversity research in Kolkata, landscape coordination in Madhya Pradesh’s Satpura-Maikal corridor, GIS and remote sensing in Delhi, sustainable agriculture in the Satpura-Pench landscape, and a wildlife sniffer dog programme role via TRAFFIC India.
Wildlife Conservation Society India
A Programme Manager role for the Nagaland Conservation and Livelihoods project — working with Indigenous communities across one of India’s most ecologically significant and underreported landscapes.
