We’re collecting the ones worth knowing about here, updated as new invites come in. We also keep an eye on listings from Wildlife Conservation Trust and Wildlife Trust of India — neither currently has a live public event to share, but we’ll add one the moment they do.

Joy of Birding – Beginners Foundation Course
Pugdundee Safaris, Learn with Pugdundee initiative
A five-day, four-night birding foundation course built around field observation rather than checklists — naked-eye identification, bird call recognition, habitat reading, a dawn chorus session, and an introduction to citizen science platforms like eBird and Merlin Bird ID. Led by ornithologist Dr. Nikhil Bhopale of the Bombay Natural History Society. No prior birding experience is required.

Campus Biodiversity Register — Nature on Campus, Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF)
A recurring, year-round calendar of bird counts, bioblitzes, and citizen-science documentation drives anyone can join — most need nothing more than a phone and the free iNaturalist or eBird apps.
