Friends of Elephants and Namma Metro are organizing `Elephant Family,’ a session that will offer insights into the workings of just that — elephant families. Dr. TNC Vidya will speak about elephant societies, followed by Dr. Arivazhagan Chelliah’s talk on elephant population in Nagerhole in Karnataka, Mudumalai in Tamil Nadu and Periyar in Kerala.

The evening will also feature a talk by Dr. N. Baskaran on elephant families in captivity.
